Successful deployments of the adaptive map controller
WWTP Oldenburg (OOWV)
The Oldenburg WWTP is one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in Lower Saxony with 4 parallel activated sludge basins. The plant was already among the top 10% in Germany before the map controller was deployed.
Despite interim changes (new compressor, faulty ammonium measurement), the map controller independently adapted to the new conditions. No readjustment was required.
WWTP Seehausen (hanseWasser Bremen)
The Seehausen WWTP is one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in Germany with 6 parallel activated sludge basins. Due to the plant design, the amc could be directly compared with conventional oxygen setpoint control.
During combined sewer events, the oxygen setpoint was raised early, enriching the activated sludge basin with oxygen. This reduced the ammonium peak by 40–50% compared to the reference basin.
